MUSIC YOU REMEMBER!
Around the Inland Empire and Southern California, "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing," and the Citrus Swing Orchestra is the Inland Empire's premiere dance and swing band! Based in Moreno Valley, the Citrus Swing Orchestra is a classic Big Band dance band - a swinging 18 piece orchestra performing the sounds of the Swing Era and playing dance favorites from all eras. CSO's sound ranges from society to swing and includes many of the original arrangements performed by the Dorsey Brothers, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Frank Sinatra. Our extensive catalog of music includes traditional big band hits, swing, Latin rhythms, and some of the best dance music around.
The Citrus Swing Orchestra, along with the Moreno Valley Wind Symphony, is a performing ensemble under the auspices of the Moreno Valley Community Band Association. We are a non-profit music association that provides both free public concerts as well as performances for hire. The orchestra is made of musicians from all walks of life, including ad vocational and retired musicians, professional musicians, music educators, and other music professionals.
As one of the performing ensembles under the auspices of the Moreno Valley Community Band Association, the Citrus Swing Orchestra is comprised entirely of volunteer musicians and holds a charitable 501(c)(3) tax exemption. Donations and performance fees are used to defray the costs of music, transportation, sound equipment and to support music in our community.
